Rampant primary day screw-ups stir worries about November presidential election

EXCERPT: The politicians — Brooklyn Councilmembers Jumaane Williams, Vincent Gentile and Letitia James — held a City Hall press conference last week highlighting reported problems in the Sept. 13 primary.

“What I witnessed at the polls today was simply the worst example of voter disenfranchisement I have personally seen,” said Williams of primary. “Voters, many of them seniors, were streaming out of polling sites screaming, cursing and near tears over the frustration they experienced.
