Neighbors fight new hotel in East Flatbush they fear will draw prostitution and drugs

EXCERPT: City Councilman Jumaane Williams is drafting a bill that would require hotel developers to present their plan to the local community board even if they don’t need zoning changes.

“There’s no reason economically or business model-wise for a hotel to be there. It’s not a Hyatt, it’s not going to be a Radisson. Tourists are not going to be stopping by,” said Williams.
