I have been involved in community organizing and neighborhood development for 15 years. Empowering communities and creating healthier neighborhoods are the goals of everything I do.

As the only candidate who has worked as a community organizer and been educated in neighborhood development, I will take all that I have learned and apply it to the office of Councilmember for the 45th. I believe that our representative on the City Council should be known in the community as Community Organizer #1.

In November of 2008, we elected a former community organizer, Barack Obama, President of the United States of America in one of the greatest examples of change in our country’s history. But we can create an even bigger impact on the community level. If we do not elect the right leader, we will waste a great opportunity.
